The 2017 spring trip to Tucson, Arizona was a success for the Aurora University baseball team and AU is 9-1 as they return north for the final three quarters of the schedule. SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME ONE vs. Saint Mary's University
- The Spartans would be no hit on the game.
- St. Mary's scored three first inning runs courtesy of four walks and just on hit.
- AU would allow three more runs in the fourth and four in the seventh.
SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME TWO vs. Calvin
- AU jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first with four hits.

Cale Sparks tripled in two runs in the first.
- Calvin scored five runs on five hits in the second to take a 5-3 lead on AU.
- Spartan
Michael Fidler doubled and later scored in the fourth on an infield single from Sparks.

Chris Roycroft relieved starter
Jacob Stockman in the fourth inning.
- AU battled and took the lead in the seventh, scoring two runs on three hit and were aided by a Calvin error.
- A pair of insurance runs were scored by the Spartans in the eighth with a manufactured run from
Jeff LaPage and
Jeff Mayes scored from first on a double from
Jeff Woods.
- Roycroft closed out the final six innings for the win.
