The Aurora University softball team saw their bats go quiet in a NACC doubleheader with Concordia Wisconsin as the Spartans fell 5-1 and 7-0.

SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS / HOW IT HAPPENED - GAME ONE
- AU fell behind 1-0 in the first with two CUW hits to start the inning and two walks scoring one run.
- Spartan
Elaine Walker hit a one out triple in the bottom of the first but was thrown out trying to score on a fly out.
- For the second straight inning AU got a one out triple, this time from
Taylor Moore. She scored on a single by
Lauren O'Daniell to tie the game 1-1.
- An error by AU in the fourth proved costly as AU pitcher
Britni Wilson later walked two and allowed CUW to score a pair and lead 3-1.
- CUW added a pair of runs in the seventh to lead 5-1, the eventual final score.

- After a scoreless first four innings, CUW was sparked by a one out walk. Three hits and a wild pitch following a pitching change later, AU found themselves trailing 4-0.
- AU got runners on and in scoring position in the fifth but could not manufacture a hit to drive in runs.
- CUW added three runs on five hits in the seventh to put the game out of reach as AU fell 7-0.
