The Aurora University softball team celebrated the senior class of 2017 in between games of the NACC doubleheader with Marian University. AU won game one 4-3 and lost game two 5-1.

SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS / HOW IT HAPPENED - GAME ONE
- AU threatened in the second inning but Josie Bachtell was cut down trying to score and the game remained 0-0.
- In the fourth, AU scored twice with three singles and one big Sabre error helping.
- A two-run single from Bachtell in the fifth gave AU a 4-0 lead.
- Marian scored three runs in the sixth with the final out coming on a relay to third base, ending the rally with AU leading 4-3.
- Spartan pitcher Britni Wilson got a 1-2-3 seventh to seal the 4-3 win.

- Marian scored single runs in the third, fourth and fifth to lead AU 3-0.
- A single from Elaine Walker and double from Steph Starr in the fifth gave AU their first and only run of the game.
- Marian added a pair of runs in the sixth.
- The Spartans threatened in the seventh but left a pair on and fell 5-1.
