The Aurora University Spartan baseball team traveled to Whitewater, Wisconsin on Tuesday night to finish the suspended opening game against Edgewood College before playing game two. Trailing 2-0 in the seventh inning when rain came on Friday, April 28, the Spartans rallied to win 4-2 in 12 innings and then cruised to a 16-0 win in seven innings.

SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME ONE
- Game one started on Friday, April 28 in Verona, Wisconsin but after rain suspended the game in the seventh inning, it was continued on Tuesday, May 2 at Whitewater, Wisconsin.
- The Spartans offense was held in check over the first seven innings before rain fell.
- Edgewood score a run in the fourth inning and added another in the sixth in starter Elias McMahon.
- AU threatened right away in the eighth inning when the game was restarted but could not push across a run.
- In the ninth, with one out, Michael Fidler homered to right putting AU on the board. Later in the inning, Cole Davis singled and Austin Wiskow ran for him and scored on a single from Adam Lipscomb.
- Chris Roycroft came in relief of John Barnes and got out of a jam to send the game to extra time.
- A two out double from Mike Cherven in the 12th scored Adam Lipscomb and Cherven then scored on a single from Nick Mathey.
- Roycroft sealed the win, 4-2 AU.

- AU continued the momentum from winning game one into game two, scoring in the first six innings including four in the first, second and fourth innings.
- All AU starters collected a hit, scored a run or drove in a run.
- Jeff Woods went three for four with a double, four runs batted in and two runs scored.
- Jeff Mayes went three for five with a double, three runs scored and two runs batted in.
- Adam Lipscomb went two for five with a double, two runs scored and two runs batted in.
- AU pitchers led by Jacob Stockman (five innings, three strikeouts), Kyle Blunt (one inning) and Tomas Aguilar (one inning and three strikeouts) allowed no runs and one hit.
