The Aurora University women's tennis team opened the 2017 season with a pair of road contests at Loras College against the Duhawks and Illinois College. AU fell in both matches by 8-1 scores.

AU dropped the first match of the day against Loras with Mackenzie Smith winning at No. 2 singles (6-0, 4-7, 6-1).

In the second match of the day, Smith again was victorious at No. 2 singles (6-0, 6-2).

With the pair of losses, AU is 0-2 overall. Next action for the Spartan women's tennis teams comes on Friday, September 8 when they host North Central College. Match time is set for 3:00 p.m. at the Washington Middle School Courts.
