For the second straight contest the Aurora University Spartan men's basketball team used a late rally with this time needing overtime to move past an opposing Eagles team. Saturday was the Edgewood College Eagles who AU defeated 94-84 in overtime.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first-half went back and forth with the score being tied 12 times and six lead changes.
- AU freshman
Justin Wierzgac helped keep the Spartans in the game with eight first-half points.
- The teams went to halftime with Edgewood leading 39-36.
- AU quickly found themselves down 10 (53-43) with 15 minutes to play.
- After an AU timeout, the Spartans used defense to run off an 11-2 run and were down only one at 55-54.
- With 6:10 to play, the Spartans once again found themselves down 69-60.
- AU clawed their way back methodically and when
Marcus Myers connected on a jumper with 27 seconds to go, the game was tied 79-79.
- With 0.8 seconds on the clock, AU forward
Ty Carlson drew a charge call and sending the game into overtime.
- The Spartans dominated the overtime session, out scoring Edgewood 15-5.
- The big play being a steal by
Matt Dunn and
Justin Wierzgac layup early in the overtime.
