The Aurora University Spartan men's basketball team returned to the road on Wednesday night and took on the Warriors of Wisconsin Lutheran College. AU was able to defeat the Warriors 97-88.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first three minutes saw the Spartans and Warriors go back and forth with the lead.
- A 5-0 AU run behind a three from
Ty Carlson gave the Spartans an 18-12 lead.
- Later in the first-half, with the game tied 25-25,
Pat Kramp drained a three to give AU a lead. The lead would remain in AU's hands the rest of the half.
- AU led by as many as 13 on multiple occasions in the first-half before a late Warrior run saw AU lead by four going to halftime, 51-47.
- Both teams shot over 51 percent from the field in the opening half.
- WLC opened the second on an 8-2 run and led 55-53 four minutes in.
- Back to back three balls from
Marcus Myers and
Max Vickers gave the Spartans a lead they would never give back.
- The remainder of the way, AU led by as many as 12 but never allowed WLC to get an closer than within five.
- The Spartans held on to defeat the Warriors 97-88.
