The Aurora University men's track team placed second in the 2018 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships in Kenosha, Wisconsin (at Carthage College).
AU scored 150 points but lost as Benedictine who scored 212. The Spartans did out score the remaining seven NACC schools combined as they scored a combined 188.5 points.
The throwers stepped up in a big way for the team with senior
Brandon Pichen setting another NACC meet record in the weight throw. His distance of 19.69 broke his own NACC Championship record while also laying claim to the top hurl in Division III this season. Fellow thrower
Eddie Gonzalez enjoyed a stellar day also as he won the shot put and finished third in the weight throw.

Senior sprinter
Steven Ruffin went step for step with some of the best in Division III as he finished third in the 55 meter dash, second in the 200 meter and was part of the second-place 4x400 meter relay team as the lead leg.
Jeremiah Cooley was part of the 4x400 meter relay team as the anchor leg and in the 800 meter, he won a NACC crown with his impressive time of 2:00.08.

The pole vaulters had a strong day by having juniors
Brandon Davis and
Sean Ganey finish second and fourth. The high jumpers had a strong day in a similar vein with
Nick Majka and
Peter Rudelich finishing second and third.

The distance squad had a NACC champion in the mile run with
Anthony Barrios crossing the finish line first and
Carl Way finished second in the 5,000 meter
