The Aurora University Spartan baseball team will return home following an impressive 8-3 victory over #19 The College of New Jersey in Florida.

HOW IT HAPPENED -
- AU got on the board first in the fifth with a lead off home run from Cole Davis.
- Later in the fifth, Bryan Larsen singled and AJ Gill doubled and both would later score to give the Spartans a 3-0 lead.
- TCNJ tied the game in the sixth, scoring three runs on just one hit as they took advantage of a walk and hit batsman.
- The Spartans regained the lead in the seventh. A lead off single by Larsen got the inning started and he scored on a Jeff Mayes double. A Jett Wedekind double forced a pitching change and the next Spartan to step to the plate was Davis Purviance. Purviance deposited the ball over the fence for a two run homer and AU led 7-3.
- AU added an insurance run in the eighth with Larsen again scoring on a Nick Mathey double, following his own double.
- Chris Roycroft earned the win with three innings of shutout, two hit ball.
