- Stockman would close out the complete game in the ninth, striking out the final two batters including the Ram's All-American first baseman Walker Breard.

- Blunt got out of a bases loaded situation in the top of the fourth inning to keep the AU lead at 1-0.
- In the bottom of the sixth, the Spartans took advantage of another one out walk to Paul Dobravec. Wiskow singled with two outs and right after, Cale Sparks hit a two run triple to give AU a 3-0 lead.
