GAME ONE - HOW IT HAPPENED
- AU jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first. A lead-off walk to Elaine was followed by a run scoring double from
Nina Tholl and rbi ground out by
Aly Teixeira.
- BU tied the game in the fourth on a two-run home run.
- The game remained tied 2-2 heading to the seventh.
- Walks and a BU error led to two Spartans runs in the seventh and AU led 4-2.
- Spartan pitcher made quick work of the Eagles in the bottom of the seventh and AU won 4-2.
GAME TWO - HOT IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans fell behind BU 3-0 after one inning.
- Two walks and a pinch hit single from
Abbey Rosenow got AU a run in the second.
- BU added two more runs in the second and the Spartans trailed 5-1.
- In the fourth the AU bats came to life. Seven Spartan hits led to seven runs and AU led the rival Eagles 8-5.
- A lead off walk in the fifth led to a run for BU but the Spartans still led 8-6.
- BU got a three run hoe run in the sixth to take a 9-8 lead, the eventual final score.
