The Aurora University softball team will enter the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference tournament for the 12th straight season. The Spartans finished the 2018 regular season with a 25-15 overall record and 16-6 in the NACC. AU are the third seed and will take on Wisconsin Lutheran College on Thursday, May 3 at 10:00 a.m.

All-Time NACC Championship History –

• - AU has won the seven of 12 regular season championships since joining the NACC, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.
• - Benedictine won the other four season championships 2010, 2011, 2012, 2017 and 2018.
• - The Spartans have won four of 11 NACC Tournament Championships, 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2015.
• - Benedictine has won five of 11 NACC Tournament Championships, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017.
• - Concordia University Wisconsin has won one, 2009.
• - AU is 24-14 (.632) in the NACC tournament

About the Spartans –

• - Junior Elaine Walker has a batting average of .441 with 15 doubles, four triples, seven home runs, 35 runs batted in and 49 runs scored.
• - Junior Sam Owens is hitting .400 with 14 doubles, two triples, one home run, 31 runs batted in and 17 runs scored.
• - Junior Nina Tholl is hitting .338 with nine doubles, 21 runs batted in and 13 runs scored.
• - Junior Josie Bachtell has a .321 batting average with 11 doubles, four home runs, 27 runs batted in and 26 runs scored.
• - In the circle for the Spartans are led by a trio of hurlers, freshmen Steph Renner and Hannah Tomasko and senior Britni Wilson.
• - Renner leads the trio with a 10-4 record and a 1.71 earned run averaged in 101.2 innings.

About NACC Opponents –

• - The Spartans are 5-5 this season against the other five teams in the 2018 NACC Tournament.
• - Marian University comes in as the one seed having won the tie-breaker with a record of 25-11 and 17-5 in the NACC.
• - Benedictine University is the two seed with a record of 27-13 overall record and 17-5 in the NACC.
• - Concordia Chicago is the four seed with a 24-13 overall record and 15-7 in the NACC.
• - AU will take on the six seed from Wisconsin Lutheran College. They hold a record of 17-19 and 12-10 in the NACC.
