A small group of Aurora University men's and women's track and field athletes took part in the Ripon College Dick Hendricks Invitational on Saturday. Both the men and women finished with sixth place team finishes despite only a few competitors seeing action.

The only AU women's track athlete to participant in the invite was
Gina Ramundo. Ramundo finished fifth in the 60 meter dash (8.53) and fourth in the 200 meter (28.73) to account for all nine of the AU points scored on the day.
On the men's side, six Spartans participated in four events.
Jalen Kyles won the 60 meter hurdles (8.61) and finished fifth in the 60 meter (7.32) while
Nick Brosman ran in the 60 meter and finished 18th (7.82).
Marquell Williams won the 800 meter (2:00.61) with teammates
Carl Way (sixth - 2:06.95) and
David Crumpley (14th - 2:13.40) running in the event. Miguel Hernandez rounded out the AU competitors with the 5,000 meter, where he finished fourth (17:18.99)
Next action for the Spartan men's and women's track and field team comes onÂ
Friday, February 15Â when they travel to North Central College to compete in the F. Lee Slick Invite. Meet time is scheduled for 3:30 pm.
