The Aurora University men's basketball team used an all-around effort at both ends of the court to win a key late season road NACC contest over Edgewood College on Tuesday night. The Spartans were victorious in the teams only meeting of the season, 75-67.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans led from the opening basket by senior Brandon James.
- On a Jesse Young lay-up with 10:58 to play in the first-half, AU led by a game-high 10 points at 23-13.
- AU would lose the lead for 50 seconds late in the first-half but a lay-up from Justin Wierzgac and a dunk from Jesse Young gave the Spartans a 42-40 lead at halftime.
- The Spartans would lead the entire second-half but that was not to say their wasn't tense moments throughout.
- AU led by a second-half high eight points on a Demetrius Pointer lay-up with 6:33 left. AU led 63-55.
- The Spartans would see the lead dwindle back to one (63-62) with 5:30 left in the game.
- A three from Tyler Carlson and then lay-ups from Max Vickers and Young put AU back up seven (71-64) with two minutes to play.
- The Spartans defense hunkered down and Terrell Wilson went four-of-four from the free-throw line in the final minute.
- AU picked up a big road NACC win, 75-67.

- Bailey Vance had a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds
- Terrell Wilson had 13 points.
- Max Vickers had 12 points and drew several important charges.
