The Aurora University men's basketball team rallied from down 14 points in the second-half to take a lead late but Lakeland had the final basket of the game as AU fell 80-78.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans and Muskies traded baskets and leads over the first eight minutes of action and the game was tied 14-14.
- After trailing by five, the Spartans rallied and on a
Brandon James layup, the game was again tied at 27 with 4:14 to go.
- Lakeland out scored AU 10-4 in the final three minutes and the Spartans trailed 40-34 heading to halftime.
- The second-half found the Spartans trail by as many as 14 and with 9:29 on the clock, AU was behind by 13 at 64-51.
- AU meticulously went to work to cut into the Lakeland lead over the next nine minutes.
- With 34 seconds left,
Max Vickers made two free-throws and the Spartans led 78-77.
- On the next possession, AU forced a missed shot but Lakeland was able to corral the rebound and called a timeout with 15 seconds left to play.
- With two seconds left, Lakeland made a three to grab an 80-78 lead.
- Coming out of a timeout, AU got a three-point attempt from just beyond half court but the shot fell short and AU lost 80-78;
