The Aurora University baseball team opened their northern schedule with a doubleheader against Northland College and Loras College. The Spartans won 15-2 (7 innings) over Northland and 6-5 over Loras.

SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME ONE
- The Spartans took a 2-0 lead in the first inning.
- A five run third inning pushed the Spartan lead to 7-1. A two-run
Austin Wiskow double capped off the inning.
- AU added five more runs in the fourth inning with a
Jett Wedekind home run and doubles from
Paul Dobravec,
Jeff Mayes and
Cole Davis.
- The Spartans went on to win the game in seven innings, 15-2.
SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME TWO
- AU fell behind 1-0 in the top of the first with
Will King getting out of a bases loaded jam.
- The Spartans then scored runs in the bottom of the first and the second to take a 2-1 lead.
- In the fifth, AU added another run and led 3-1.
- A two-run triple from Loras in the seventh tied the game at 3-3 in the start of an exciting final three innings.
- In the bottom of the inning, AU regained the lead at 4-3.
- In the eighth, AU added a run with a misplayed fly ball leading to a run and the Spartans led 5-3.
- With one out in the ninth, Loras got a two-run double that tied the game.
- In the ninth, AU got lead-off double from
Michael Fidler but he was thrown out at third one play later.
- With two outs,
Bryan Larsen and
Austin Wiskow both reached on infield singles to shortstop.
- The bases were loaded for
Davis Purviance and he lined a single to left which scored
Jeff Mayes.
- The Spartans were victorious 6-5.
