The Aurora University women's lacrosse team lost to Carthage College 9-6 on Saturday afternoon. AU will now head south for a pair of games over spring break.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- AU trailed 2-0 when
Kendall Urban made a pass to
Ellie Blake. Blake found the back of the net with her shot and AU trailed 2-1.
- Seven minutes later, Spartan
Marina Kanner scored and AU was down 4-2.
- After being down 5-2, the Spartans chipped into the deficit.
- Spartan newcomer
Claire Carlson scored the final two goals of the first-half and AU went to intermission down 5-4.
- Carthage scored first in the second half but the Spartans came back and tied the game at 6.
- Goals from Carlson and
Kristina Krokosz pulled AU even with over 17 minutes to go.
- Carthage would go on and score the final three goals and AU fell 9-6.
