Spartans go five with No. 9 Raiders

The Aurora University men's volleyball team took the No. 9 ranked Milwaukee School of Engineering Raiders to five sets before falling 3-2 (23-25, 16-25, 25-21, 26-24, 12-15).

HOW IT HAPPENED
- AU trailed the first set early but stormed back to lead 23-21 on an ace from Justin Yost.
- The Spartans were unable to hang on though, with two errors allowing MSOE to win 25-23.
- The second set saw AU trail throughout and fall 25-16.
- AU grabbed a 10-6 lead in the third set, trailed 19-17 before scoring eight of the final 10 points to win 25-21.
- The fourth set was tightly played with the final points being very exciting.
- AU led 23-21 with MSOE then tying the game 23-23 and 24-24.
- A kill from Justin Yost and Jack Fischer gave AU the 26-24 win and forced the winner take all fifth set.
- In the deciding fifth set, AU stormed out to a 10-5 lead.
- The Spartans had numerous errors down the stretch with MSOE rallying back.
- The Spartans would fall to the Raiders 15-12 and lose the match 3-2.
