The Aurora University softball team lost a pair of NACC contests at Rockford University on Saturday afternoon, falling 6-5 and 5-2.

SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME ONE
- The Spartans jumped out to a 2-0 lead with a lead-off double from Elaine Walker and later in the inning with the bases loaded, Ashley Pittman delivered a two-run single.
- AU added two mores runs in the second with lead-off singles from Anni Wilson and Brianna Lewis who then scored on a double from Walker.
- Rockford scored a run in the fourth and tied the game with three in the fifth.
- In the sixth, AU regained the lead with a two out walk for Walker who scored on a triple off the bat of Josie Bachtell.
- In the bottom of the seventh, Rockford got a one out double that drove in a pair and defeated AU 6-5.

SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME TWO
- AU fell behind in game two as Rockford scored a pair of runs to lead 2-0.
- The Spartans rallied in the fifth to tie the game. Megan Schwartz led off with a double and later in the inning, Nina Tholl drove in two with a single.
- In the bottom of the inning, two AU errors proved costly as Rockford scored three times.
- The Spartans threatened in the seventh, loading the bases with two outs but a ground out ended the game as AU fell 5-2.

Next action for the Spartan softball team comes on Sunday, March 31 when they travel to Edgewood College in a NACC doubleheader. First pitch of game one is set for 12:00 p.m. in Madison, Wisconsin.
