Njegovan earns All-American honors at NCAA Indoor Championship

The final day of the 2019 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted by University of Massachusetts-Boston at the Reggie Lewis Center saw an Aurora University men's track and field athlete, senior Ryan Njegovan, compete in the shot put.

Njegovan returned to the shot put arena after winning the national championship at the 2017 Indoor NCAA Meet. This year he once again took on the field of 20 in the shot put event and advanced to the finals, top nine, improving on each of his three attempts, with a 17.01, 17.02 and 17.28 meter toss.

He entered the finals in fourth place with his throw of 17.28 and would maintain his fourth place finish to earn All-American honors. The 2019 All-American honor is his second in the indoor event and fourth All-American recognition in his time at AU.
