April 1 and April Fool's Day saw the Aurora University baseball team host Concordia University Wisconsin. The Spartans mashed 25 hits while scoring 20 runs in the doubleheader sweep of the Falcons, winning 10-1 and 10-3.

SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME ONE
- Three first inning singles from the Falcons found AU down 1-0 early.
- AU answered immediately in the bottom of the first with the first three Spartans (Purviance, Wedekind and Gill) reaching base.
Paul Dobravec singled to center to score a pair and AU led 2-1.
- In the third, two walks and an error loaded the bases for AU.
Jeff Mayes had a run scoring single and
Cole Davis singled to drive in two more. Two hitters later,
Austin Wiskow singled to drive in Mayes and AU led 6-1.
- In the fourth, Mayes singled to score
AJ Gill and AU led 7-1 for starter
Chris Roycroft.
- With one out in the fifth, Wiskow tripled and scored when
Davis Purviance hit a long sac fly.
- AU continued to add on in the sixth, Gill and Dobravec doubled to lead off the inning pushing the Spartan lead to 9-1. Dobravec scored later on the inning on a Mayes sac fly.
- Roycroft threw eight innings for the win, striking out eight while scattering 10 hits.
SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME TWO
- AU jumped out to a fast lead in game two.
Davis Purviance led off with a triple to center and he scored on a passed ball.
Paul Dobravec reached on a two-base error and scored on a
Michael Fidler double down the line.
- In the third, CUW tied the game with two runs including the day's first home run.
- The Spartan bats answered in the bottom of the inning. Purviance and Wedekind singled to start the inning and
AJ Gill hit a sac fly to give AU the 3-2 lead. Wedekind scored when Dobravec singled to right center. When the right fielder kicked the ball, Wedekind scampered home for a 4-2 lead.
- In the fifth, Purviance and Gill hit long home runs giving the Spartans a 6-2 lead.
- Wedekind hit a two run home run in the eighth. Later in the inning, two more runs crossed the plate for a 10-2 AU advantage.
- The Spartans were victorious as the pitching combo of
Kyle Blunt, Nick Mathey and
Michael Fidler allowed three runs in the winning effort.
