The Aurora University softball team split a NACC doubleheader with Concordia Wisconsin on Tuesday night at Bedrosian Stadium with shutouts happening in both ends of the doubleheader. AU fell 6-0 in game one before winning 2-0 in game two.

SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME ONE
- AU fell behind 1-0 in the top of the first.
- The Spartans threatened in the second inning with runners on second and third with one out. But a strikeout and pop out ended the AU scoring threat.
- A solo home run from CUW in the second put AU down 2-0.
- In the fifth, CUW scored four times with a pair of walks and three singles giving the visitors a 6-0 lead.
- AU fell in game one, 6-0.

SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME TWO
- Early in game two, a northeast wind picked up and would play a factor throughout the game.
- With no score in the third,
Elaine Walker hit a one out double to left. The next Spartan hitter,
Nina Tholl hit a high fly to short right that the wind grabbed and fell for a single in the back of the infield.

Josie Bachtell stepped to the plate and crushed a ball to left that the wind held up but allowed Walker to score and AU led 1-0.
- Posted to a 1-0 lead, Spartan pitcher
Hannah Tomasko allowed one hit through the first five innings, that hit coming in the fourth.
- AU turned their third lineout double-play to end the fourth inning and in the fifth,
Heather Vetter made a spectacular catch in right center.
- The defensive momentum spilled into the bats in the bottom of the fifth. Vetter led off the fifth with a walk and moved to third with one out. Walker executed a squeeze to score Vetter and AU led 2-0.
- Tomasko finished off the shutout win as AU won 2-0.
