The Aurora University baseball team returned to the NCAA Division III Baseball Championship regional on Friday afternoon against Coe College in a warm St. Louis, Missouri on the campus of Washington University. The Spartans had runners on base all afternoon but were unable to get the big hit when needed and fell to Coe 10-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED -
- The Spartans got off to a good start withÂ
Davis Purviance getting the game started with an infield single. Purviance and
Paul Dobravec (walked) would remain stranded.
- Coe managed to score an unearned run in the bottom of the first inning.
- AU answered right away in the second, with one out
Dylan White walked and after an infield single from
Austin Wiskow, Purviance and
Jeff Mayes walked with the Mayes walk scoring White to tie the game.Â
- In the third inning, a pair of AU errors and four Coe hits led to three runs scoring and the Spartans trailed 4-1.
- Coe added runs in the fourth, sixth, seventh and eighth innings to lead AU 10-1.
- The Spartans managed to get the lead-off hitter on base in five of the first six innings while having runners on in all but two innings.
