The Aurora University Spartan softball team fell in the opening game of day one of the 2019 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament, hosted by AU at Bedrosian Stadium. The Spartans lost to Wisconsin Lutheran College 3-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The start of game one of the NACC Tournament was delayed due to rain in the area with first-pitch coming 1:35 after the originally scheduled time.
- Both the Spartans and Warriors left two stranded in the second inning.
- AU fell behind 2-0 in the third with three singles leading to the two runs.
- In the bottom of the third, the Spartans tried to answer, seeing
Heather Vetter and
Elaine Walker lead off with singles. With two-outs,
Sam Owens lined a single to left. Vetter tried to score but was thrown out at the plate.
- In the fourth, an error led to one more WLC run and AU trailed 3-0.
- AU left runners on in the fourth and fifth and had solid at bats the remainder of the game but were just unable to sctratch across a run.
- The Spartans fell 3-0.
