The record setting career of Aurora University men's track and field senior Ryan Njegovan came to a conclusion at the 2019 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Friday morning with the shot put event.

Njegovan took on the field of 20 and finished 15th with a throw of 15.61 meters.

For his career as a Spartan, Njegovan finishes with three NCAA Division III outdoor All-American honors and two indoor All-American honors. He captured AU's first NCAA Championships while competing in both indoor and outdoor track and field during his junior season of 2017. He highlighted his season during the Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field campaign by setting AU history when he won the NCAA Championship in the indoor shot put and the outdoor discus. Prior to his championship, no other AU team or individual had finished higher than a national runner-up.
