The Aurora University Spartan softball team were knocked out of the 2019 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament with a 4-0 loss to Marian University on Saturday morning.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Neither team managed a hit until the fourth inning when both the Spartans and Sabres got their first hit and each left two runners on base with the game remaining scoreless.
- In the fifth, Marian struck with four runs on three hits, two walks and a hit by pitch doing the damage,
- The Spartans threatened in the bottom of the fifth but left two runners in scoring position.
- In the bottom of the seventh, AU loaded the bases but a pop out by the potential tying run ended the game.
- AU fell by a 4-0 score.
