The Aurora University men's track and field team competed in their second meet of the indoor season at The Bill Clinger Classic hosted by Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan. The Spartan men competed against 31 teams ranging from Division I to Division III. The men's team finished 12
th with 14 points.

Freshman
Robbie Peterson was an event champion winning the triple jump with a mark of 13.74m. This mark leads the conference and is nationally ranked in the top 30.

Jeremiah Cooley led the mid distance crew out strong running 1:24.62 in the 600m.
Jacob Hernandez ran 2:00.39 in the 800m. Cooley and Hernandez also ran strong legs in the 4x400 relay with
Khadeil Ergas and
Eric Teverbaugh rounding out the quartet.

Montez Wright won his heat in the 200m finishing 5th overall with a time of 22.64. Â

Jalen Cole had a huge PR in the Shot Put with a toss of 13.49m to place him 11th overall.

Next up for the Spartan men's track and field team is Friday, January 24Â when they travel to Kenosha, Wisconsin for The Todd Metzger Invitational hosted by Carthage College. Meet time is set for 3:30 p.m.
