This past weekend, the Spartans competed in the Columbia 300 Saints Invitational where we finished 16th out of 18 teams.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans competed on Friday in Baker Qualifying play where they were up against some ranked competition.Â
- On the day, AU ranked 15 out of 19 teams, averaging 160 a game.
- Saturday started the traditional side of the tournament. AU played against some D-II foes, including Kentucky Wesleyan and Drury.

Jenna Mendez led the way for the Spartans averaging 173. The Spartans stood at 16th after qualifying for Sunday.
-The last day of the tournament brought bracket play where AU opened up play against CIBC foe, Augustana.Â
-Our AU Spartans completed the tournament 16th out of 18 teams.Â

Jenna Mendez averaged 173 placing her 52nd out of 120 competitors.
- Alex Bergin averaged 164 which placed her 58th out of 120.

Next action for the Spartan women's bowling team comes on February 8 and 9 where they will compete at the McKendree Baker Challenge in O'Fallon, Illinois.
