The COVID-19 outbreak forced the sudden cancelation of the NCAA winter and spring sports seasons. In the weeks following, the Aurora University athletic department is highlighting senior student-athletes. We began with the seniors from the spring who had their seasons cut short and were unable to have a senior day ceremony.
 
Senior Spotlight: Vincent Martin (men's golf)

Major: Marketing

What are your plans after graduation? I am planning on getting my masters of Entrepreneurship and Finance at DePaul University starting next fall.
What is your most memorable/best academic experience at AU? My best academic experience at AU was to become the Vice President of Sports Marketing in the American Marketing Association.

What is your most memorable athletic moment at AU? My most memorable athletic moment at AU was to play in the Northern Intercollegiate with the best D1 schools in the country.

Other than the sport(s) you play; what other sports activity are you good at? I have been playing many different sports since a young age but I would say that I am pretty good at tennis (played for 12 years).

Outside of sports, what is your favorite hobby or activity? My favorite hobby outside of sports is photography and video making.

What AU faculty or staff member had the greatest impact on you and why? On the academic side, Professor Babb and Professor Grabowski are the two AU faculties that have had the greatest impact on me. Regarding the athletic side, Coach Wyeth has been like a mentor since I transferred to AU.

What do you enjoy most and least about practice? What I enjoy the most about practice is the camaraderie and what I enjoy the least is to make too many birdies when it doesn't count!!!

Do you have any pregame rituals? I like to mark my ball a certain way regardless how much time I have on my hand before my round.

What advice would you give to underclassmen at AU? The advice I would give to underclassmen at AU is to learn time management and try to be as involved as possible in student organizations and with your teammates.

If you had to listen to one song on repeat forever, what would it be and why? It would be « Not ok » from Chelsea Cutler.

What is something that people may not know about you but should? People may not know that I am from France and only learned to speak English only four years ago!
If you could spend an hour each with three people (past or present), who would you choose and why? Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos and Barack Obama.
