Spartans run season bests at UW Lacrosse

The Aurora University Men's Cross Country team placed 18that The Jim Drews/Tori Neubauer Invitational hosted by University of Wisconsin- La Crosse. 
 
AU was led by Jacob Bohnert who ran a huge PR of 26:55.5. Behind him was Cris Valencia who also PR'd. Nick Valle, Fernando Viveros, and Maximo Garcia rounded out the scoring for The Spartans. Garcia ran over a minute lifetime best finishing in 28:34.8. He was pushed by teammate Sam Brown who PR'd six seconds behind him.  
 
Francis Balquin, Lucas Alvarez, and Hugo Diego also had PRs. Alvarez ran over a 3-minute personal best finishing in 29:36.6.  
 
Head Coach Alex Lowe said, "We still did not have a few of our top guys, but the men who ran really stepped up to make up for that. This was a tough field at this meet, but our entire top 7 ran season bests. This sets us up really well going into the postseason in two weeks." 
 
 Next action for the Spartan men's cross country team comes on Saturday, October 30 when they travel to Mequon, WI for the NACC Championship.
