The Aurora University Spartans men's wrestling team had a strong showing at the Millikin University Open on Saturday. Eight Spartans placed in their weight classes led by Logan Balosky and Luke Silva who won their respective weights.

For the second consecutive meet, Luke Silva won the 174 weight class, he had two falls and won the championship with a 9-8 decision.

Balosky won at the 149 weight class, winning the final two events by falls.

The Spartans had six individuals take home top-8 finishes. Christian Komitas (165lbs) finished second, Cam'ron Harper (285 lbs) finished third, Armando Ferrer (285 lbs) finished fifth, while Skyler Pike (125 lbs), Ote Allsup (157 lbs) and Manny Diaz (184 lbs) finished eighth.

Next action for the Spartan men's wrestling team comes on Wednesday, November 17 when they host Carthage College. Dual time is set for 7:00 p.m. in Thornton Gymnasium.
