The Aurora University Spartans men's wrestling team took to the mat on the AU campus for the first time in nearly four decades on Wednesday night. The Spartans won six of the 10 matches to defeat Carthage College 31-16 and win their first dual meet in the program's come back.

- The Spartans got out to a fast start behind a pin from
Skyler Pike at 125 to lead 6-0.
- Cameron Johnson followed with a major decision at 133 and AU led 10-0.
- AU led 10-4 after a major decision at 141 went against
Julian Alvarez.

Logan Balosky started hot on the mat at 149 with a technical fall to push the AU lead to 15-4.

Jiovanni Martinez (165) dropped their matches and AU carried a narrow 15-12 advantage into the 174 class.

Luke Silva got the Spartans back in the scoring column at 174 with a pin and 21-12 AU lead.

Manny Diaz fell to a major decision at 184 but the Spartans maintained a 21-16 advantage.
- In the 197 weight class,
Angel Jaimes won by an injury 22 seconds into the match and AU led 27-16.

Cam'Ron Harper sealed the AU victory at heavyweight with a major decision.
- The Spartans won in their return to the mat at AU, 31-16.
