Offensive out put not enough to push pass Foresters

The Aurora University women's hockey team took the ice against Lake Forest College in the second game of the weekend series and went toe to toe with the Foresters, but fell in a close contest 6-4.

How it happened
 - AU fell behind Lake Forest 1-0 as the Foresters scored 3:43 into the contest.
- Midway through the first period, the Spartans tied the contest with a power play tally from Peyton Elliot. She was assisted by Stephanie Schmunk. 
- The Foresters would take the 2-1 lead with 5:47 left to play in the first.
- With 2 seconds left and 4v4 play, the Spartans were able to find the back of the Foresters net. Darci Matson scored with assists from Ava Eid and Peyton Elliot.
- AU and Lake Forest remained tied 2-2 going into the first intermission.
- Lake Forest took the 3-2 lead with a power play tally 5:21 into the second period.
- Once again, the Spartans answered back.
- Darci Matson would add her second tally of the night getting the equalizer. She was assisted by Olivia Matson and Lexie Martinez. 
- Late in the second period, the Foresters would score their fourth goal making it 4-3.
-The Foresters would add two more goals in the third period, leading 6-3.
- Freshman Peyton Elliott scored her second tally of the night late in the third period. She was assisted by Macey Horbach and Darci Matson.
-The game would end 6-4 Lake Forest.
