Aurora University senior pitcher
Hannah Tomasko was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Softball Pitcher of the Week, her second consecutive week earning the honor.
Tomasko earned the honor after she went 2-0 with two starts and three appearances as AU improved to 6-0 on the season. She had complete game wins over Franklin College (3-2) and Augustana College (3-1) in which she struck out 14, allowing two earned runs, 11 hits and walking three in 15-2/3 innings of work.
On the season, Tomasko has a 3-0 record with a 0.62 earned run average, one shutout and 24 strikeouts in 22-2/3 innings pitched.
Next action for the Spartan softball team comes on Friday, March 19 when they travel to a doubleheader at Wheaton College. Game one is set for 2:30 p.m. in Wheaton, Illinois.
