HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first 45 minutes saw all the offense coming from the Spartans.
- The Rockford goalie was able to make four saves to keep it a 0-0 game at the end of period one.
- In the 66th minute Spartan Sergio Briones had his shot saved by the goalie.
- Leandro Deagueros was there for the rebound to put the ball in the net and make it a 1-0 Spartan lead.
- That is all the Spartans would need as the Regents would only have two shots on goal, both saved by GK Jalen Depenbrock.
