Hannah Tomasko was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Softball Pitcher of the Week, her fourth consecutive week earning the honor.
Tomasko earned the honor after she continued her dominance in the circle last week, tossing 10 shutout innings to extend her scoreless streak to 28 innings. In a 12-0, five-inning win over Wisconsin Lutheran on March 24, she gave up just one hit while striking out eight. Tomasko added seven strikeouts while scattering two hits and two walks while leading the Spartans to a 9-0, five-inning win over Marian on March 28.
On the season, Tomasko has a 7-0 record with a 0.31 earned run average, a NCAA Division III leading five shutouts and 65 strikeouts in 45-2/3 innings pitched.
Next action for the Spartan softball team comes on Tuesday, March 30 when they travel to Concordia University Wisconsin. Game one is set for 3:00 p.m. in Mequon, Wisconsin.
