The Spartan baseball team traveled to Illinois Institute of Technology Sunday afternoon for a conference doubleheader matchup. The Spartans swept the Scarlet Hawks, winning game one 10-3 and game two 18-8.

- The Spartans started out hot scoring four in the first inning of the day.
Dylan White had the big hit of the inning with his 3-run home run to left field.
- IIT got on the board in the 2nd with a solo home run.

Nick Malmberg was keeping the IIT off balance, but ran into trouble in the 6th giving up two runs on four hits. Spartans still leading 4-3.
- In the 7th the Spartans brought two more runs home with
Collin Meinert and
Justin Sartori knocking in the runners.
- In the 8th AU scored three more with
Jacob Ambuel's sac fly to score
Jett Wedekind and a
Dylan White single to bring in a pair.

- The first three and a half innings went by quietly until IIT opened up the scoring with a solo home run.
- The Spartans answered in the 5th with a
Eric Johansen sac fly scoring Wedekind and a
Jacob Ambuel triple scoring two more.
- In the 6th, IIT scored four on four hits to take the lead 5-3.
- In the top of the 7th the Spartans rallied for seven runs on six hits coming from
Nick Baldassano, Johansen, White, Meinert,
Nico Bermeo, and Wedekind.
- IIT closed the gap as they would score three in the bottom half to make it 10-8 Spartans.
- The Spartans took advantage of some IIT errors and walk as they scored 8 in the 9th on four hits from Spartans Baldassano,
