The Spartan baseball team hosted Dominican University Sunday afternoon at Schmid Field in Montgomery, Illinois. The Spartans were defeated 2-1 in game one and came back to win game two 12-0 in 7 innings.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS -
- Dominican loaded the bases in the 3rd inning, but only came out of the inning with one run to take the lead.

- The Spartans bounced back in game two putting up four runs in the first. Corey Vondra, Jacob Ambuel, Justin Sartori, and Jett Wedekind had hits in the inning.
- Spartan pitcher Kyle Blunt was dealing, retiring the side in order with two strikeouts in the 2nd inning.
- In the bottom half the Spartans added five more runs on a single from Collin Meinert and Jett Wedekind capping off the inning with his 6th home run of the year.
- In the 4th, AU added three more runs. Two coming in on a Sartori double, and Nico Bermeo later in the inning bringing in Sartori.
- Spartan Kyle Blunt completed his one hit complete game shutout in the 7th inning.
- Spartans win 12-0.
