The Aurora University baseball team swept their Saturday doubleheader with Marian University. The Spartans won game one with a score of 3-1 and game two 5-3.

- The Spartans got on the board with two runs in the 2nd innings off of an RBI single from Nick Baldassano and sac fly from Corey Vondra.
- The bats were quiet for the Sabers as Spartan pitcher Kyle Blunt pitched a complete game near shutout.
- AU would add an insurance run in the 8th when Josh Reinhardt doubled off the center field wall to score Collin Meinert.
- Marian would get there only run in the final frame of the game, unearned.
- Spartans win 3-1.

GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS:
- Neither offense could get things going early in the game.
- In the 6th, Meinert singled in Dylan White to score the game's first run.
- Marian was able to answer and tie the game up in the bottom half.
- The Spartans scored two in the 7th with Jacob Ambuel and White driving in runners on singles.
- MU tried to stretch a single into a double in the 8th with two outs, but Spartan Blake Milburn was not having any of that showing off his cannon from the left field corner.
- AU added a couple more in the 9th with Jack Seefeldt coming in to pinch run and scoring, and Meinert with another RBI single.
- Marian would bring the tying run up to the plate in the 9th, but Alec Strupp would strike out the final batter of the game.
