The Spartan baseball team hosted Concordia University Chicago for their final two games of their four game conference matchup. The Spartans had another great day at the plate, sweeping the Cougars with scores of 16-15 and 15-5 (8 innings).

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS -
- The Cougars struck early with a 2-run home run in the 1st inning of game one.
- The Spartans were held scoreless until the 3rd when they rattled off six runs. Collin Meinert had the big hit in the inning with his 3-run missile over the center field fence.
- In the 5th, CUC cut the lead with another 2-run home run to make a 6-4 ballgame.
- The Spartans added on in the bottom half with three runs, two of them coming from Justin Sartori's BIG GRIZ home run. Spartans lead 9-4.
- The Cougars scored seven runs in the 7th to take an 11-9 lead.
- In the bottom half the Spartans would retake the lead with a Sartori two RBI double followed up by a Nick Baldassano triple.
- CUC again used the long ball to take the lead. This time a 3-run home run to put them up 14-12 in the 8th.
- The Spartans were not going away, though. In the bottom half Jett Wedekind launched his own 2-run shot to tie the game up.
- In the top of the 9th, CUC scored one run on two hits to take the lead again 15-14.
- The red hot Justin Sartori led off the 9th inning with a game tying home run to center field.
- A Paul Dobravec walk, and Josh Reinhardt pinch running, would set up Wedekind's walk off single to send the fans home happy.
- Spartans win 16-15.

- The Cougars scored three in the 2nd inning on a 3-run home run to open up the scoring.
- In the 3rd, CUC brought home another pair to make it 5-0, but this is all they would get in game two.
- The Spartans scored 6 in the 3rd, ignited by Eric Johansen and his one out double.
- In the 4th, Johansen would lead off the inning with a triple and come around to score. Dylan White also scored in the inning to give the Spartans an 8-5 lead.
- Spartan Corey Vondra tripled to start the 6th, and would come home on a Wedekind sac fly. 
- Dylan White sent a rocket over the right center wall to extend the lead to 10-5 in the 6th.
- Again in the 7th, Justin Sartori launched a ball over the fence for his third home run of the day. 
- In the 8th, the Spartans scored four with Eric Johansen's single ending the game.
- Spartans win 15-5 in 8 innings.
