The Aurora University Spartan softball team played a pair of NACC conference tournament contests at Bedrosian Stadium against Benedictine University. The Spartans dropped both games, losing 1-0 and 15-10. AU out hit Benedictine in both games but came up shy in the run column.

SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME ONE
- AU fell behind 1-0 in the top of the first inning when a bloop single scored what would be the games only run.
- The Spartans threatened in each of the first three innings but could not get a hit to drive in a run.
- AU fell by a final score of 1-0 despite out hitting Benedictine 4-2 in the game.

SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME TWO
- The Spartans were the visitors in game two and jumped out to a 1-0 lead on an
Aly Teixeira run scoring single.
- The first four AU hitters reached with hits but the Spartans managed to scored just once.
- In the third with the game tied 1-1, an error extended the inning before
Tyler Chambers singled to drive in two and AU led 3-1.
- In the fourth, AU used two BU errors and three hits to score five times and lead what appeared to be by a commanding 8-2 score.
- BU would score eight times and took a 10-8 lead after four innings.
- AU responded right away with a two-run double from
Delilah Aguirre to tie the game 10-10.
- In the bottom of the sixth, with two outs and one on, a walk led to a big inning for BU as they scored five times.
- AU got singles from
Aly Teixeira and
Ashley Talaga in the seventh but would fall by a final score of 15-10.
