Spartan blank Thunder in non-conference contest

The Aurora University women's hockey team returned to the Fox Valley ice for a non-conference matchup against NCHA foe Trine University. The Spartans would win considerably with a final score of 9-0.

How it happened
 - 9:54 into the first period, Peyton Elliott and Ellie Visser pass to Allyson Richards who found the back of the Thunder net to give the Spartan an early 1-0 lead.
- With 2:32 left in the first period, Darci Matson slaps in a shot to give the Spartans a 2-0.
- Just 1:44 into the second period, Allyson Richards found the Thunder net for her second goal of the game to extend the Spartan lead 3-0.
- 11:24 into the second period, Marisa Trevino scores to give the Spartans a 4-0 lead midway through the second period.
- Two minutes later, Mak Cooke scores to add herself to the score sheet and gives the Spartans a 5-0 lead.
- AU led 5-0 after two periods.
- 6:42 into the third period, Mak Cooke passes to Darci Matson for her second game goal. Spartans lead 6-0.
- With 6:00 minutes left in the third period, Melina Cane finds the back of the Thunder net. Spartans lead 7-0.
- Two minutes later, Ellie Visser finds her way to the net and scores. Spartans lead 8-0.
- Less than a minute later, the Spartans skate down as Erin Campbell slaps a shot into the net with Aurora Williams getting the tip in in front of the net and AU led 9-0.
- The Spartans would hold the Thunder scoreless through three periods.
- The Spartans would win considerably, 9-0.
