Aurora University sophomore middle John McCormack received conference recognition today when the Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference announced the men's volleyball players of the week. McCormack was named the NACC Defensive Player of the Week.

McCormack earned the honor after he totaled 11 blocks (three solos) as the Spartans recorded three straight-set victories last week. He eight kills, four blocks (two solo), and two service aces in a win at Millikin on Feb. 8, then rebounded for three kills and three block assists against Illinois Wesleyan on Feb. 10 and six kills, four blocks (one solo), and a pair of digs against Mount Union on Feb. 11.

Next action for the Spartan men's volleyball team comes on Tuesday, February 15 when they travel to Benedictine University. Match time is set for 7:00 p.m. in Lisle, Illinois.
