John McCormack (.583 - eight kills) and
Thomas Kovanic (.571 - 10 kills) leading the way.
- The opening set saw the Spartans trail for most of the first 2/3 of the set.
- An ace from McCormack put AU up 17-14 but Millikin responded to tie the set 17-17.
- The Spartans though would score 8 of the final 10 points to win 25-19.
- AU would hit .591 in the second set, leading throughout and winning 25-17.
- Kovanic led with four kills in five attempts while

- The third set saw AU never trail and a 6-0 run midway through put the set in AU's hands at 18-12.
