The Aurora University women's track and field team opened the outdoor season with a partial squad at the Rex Foster Twilight in Whitewater, WI.
 
In the 3,000-meter steeplechase, Abby Liesen, Sam Barrett, and Katy Liesen all ran lifetime bests. A. Liesen's time of 12:22.19 is eighth in school history.
 
Silja Erickson PR'd in discus with a throw of 37.82m (124'1"). This mark ranks her sixth in school history.
Shaley Gonzalez won her heat of the 1500 with a PR of 5:31.41.
 
Emily Fetzer PR'd in the 800.
 
Kiara Russel threw lifetime bests in shot put and hammer throw.
 
Next action for the Spartan women's track and field team is Monday, April 11 when they compete at the Old Fashioned Track Meet hosted by Wheaton College.
