Spartan Peterson qualifies for 2022 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship

The NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Track and Field Committee announced the participants in the 2022 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships slated for May 26-28 at the SPIRE Institute near Geneva, Ohio.

Aurora University junior jumper Robbie Peterson qualified to compete in the triple jump at the 2022 Championship. The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 28 at 11:00 a.m. (est) / 10:00 a.m. (cst).

Peterson qualified with a mark of 14.86m (48'9") in the triple jump, a distance that places him ninth entering the NCAA field. Peterson will take part in his second NCAA Track and Field Championship event with his previously qualifying in the 2022 NCAA Indoor Championships.

For each men's individual event contested, including the decathlon, the top 20 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition. For each women's individual event contested, including the heptathlon, the top 22 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition. For each relay event contested, the top 16 declared relay teams, one per institution, were accepted into the competition.
