The Aurora University men's track team placed fifth in the 2022 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships, scoring 94 points.
AU was led by sophomore
Robbie Peterson Jr. who won the NACC Field Athlete of the Year after scoring 28 points across his three events. Peterson won triple jump with a jump of 14.34m and won the high jump with a jump of 1.93m. In long jump he placed second with a jump of 6.92m.Â

Three Spartans finished second or third in their events, led by
Steven Tinsley, won the discus (45.82m), third in the shot put (13.95m) and fourth in the hammer (43.50m).
Jalen Cole finished second in the shot put (14.90m) and third in the discus (43.64m).
Akeem Haye finished second in the javelin (47.48m). Â
Malik Whitehead scored in the 100 meter, finishing eighth (11.42) while
Cris Valencia (fifth) and
Nick Valle (sixth) scored in the 10,000 meter run.
Drew Henson finished fifth in the pole vault with
Nick Tannhauser finishing fifth in the shot put.
Next action for the Spartan men is Thursday, May 12 when they travel to Naperville, IL for the Dr. Keeler Last Chance Meet hosted by North Central College.  Â
