Spartans win CCIW dual at MSOE

The Aurora University Spartans men's wrestling team returned to the mat at Milwaukee School of Engineering on Wednesday night, defeating the hosts 37-18.

How it happened
- AU jumped out to a 24-0 lead.
- Zane Ely and Tyler Evits got the Spartans scoring started with forfeit wins.
- Cam Johnson then followed with a fall at 3:00 at 141 and AU led 18-0.
- Evan Reilly got a fall 44 seconds in and put the Spartans up 24-0.
- Carthage won the 157 and 165 matches which accounted for 12 of their points on the night.
- Luke Silva got the Spartans rolling on the scoreboard again with a fall (1:49) at 174.
- Alton Mullinax followed at 184 with a decision win (9-2) and AU now led 33-12.
- MSOE added six points at 197 to end their scoring.
- Cam'Ron Harper won for the Spartans at 285, winning by a major decision (12-3).
- The Spartans would dominate the dual and win 37-18.

Next action for the Spartan men's wrestling team comes on Saturday, January 21 when they travel to the CCIW Dual Meet hosted by Concordia University Wisconsin. First dual begins at 11:00 a.m. with duals also at match is slated for 12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. in Mequon, Wisconsin.
