The Aurora University women's hockey team hosted NCHA foe Trine University Friday night for game one of the conference weekend series. The Spartans continued their winning ways after defeating the Thunder 4-1.

Madison Gasper faced a two on one down the slot but with a quick release Gasper found the back of the Thunder net to give the Spartans a 1-0 lead.
- After the Spartans survived the Trine power play, the Thunder got the equalizer midway through the second period.
- Not long after, the
Ellie Visser scores to add herself to the score sheet and gives the Spartans a 2-1 lead with less than four minutes remaining in the period. Spartans Peyton Elliot and Juilanna Gallenero recorded the assists.
- 53 seconds into the third period, Peyton Elliot joined in on the scoring action to extend their lead 3-1.
- In the final minutes of the period,
Darci Matson and
Makenna Brownlee pass to Marissa Trevino who slaps the shot into the net and AU led 4-1 after the power play tally.
- The Spartans won by a final score of 4-1.
