Spartans take part in pentathlon at UW-Oshkosh

The Aurora University Track and Field team had a pair of athletes compete in the Pentathlon at the Early Bird Multi Meet hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. The meet was unscored. 
Skylar Gibbs had a strong performance, securing her a second place finish with a personal record of 3094 points. This is a 275 point improvement from last year, as well as the second best result in AU history. 
Gibbs had a 10 centimeter PR in the high jump with a height of 1.56 meters. This mark is seventh in school history. She also had a big PR in shot put with a throw of 9.10 meters. Her other results included 9.51 seconds in the 60 meter hurdles, 4.69 meters in long jump, and 2:33.35 in the 800. 
Alayna Koehler placed seventh with a 356 point personal record of 2720. This moves her up to fourth in school history. 
Koehler opened the competition with a PR of 11.00 in the 60 meter hurdles. She also had a seven centimeter improvement in the high jump, with a mark of 1.59. This result is fourth in school history. She improved on her PR in shot put by 1.61 meters with a mark of 9.68. Her other results included 4.55 meters in long jump and 2:45.70 in the 800.
